See all- Astrology Social in the Park!Oregon Park, Portland, OR
Let’s meet up at Oregon park on Saturday Aug 16th (weather dependent) to get to know your fellow astrology enthusiasts! We should be able to find a nice shady spot, but if the weather report predicts a lot of rain, or temperatures in the 90s, I’ll reschedule the day, so check this page for any updates before you make the trip.
We’ll try to be near the north side of the park [closer to Oregon St] when picking a meeting spot—Bring your own water, chair or blanket if wanted. The park does have a public restroom.
Oregon Park is on NE Oregon St, between 29th & 30th Ave.
I'm generally sitting in a blue lawn chair so you can look out for that if it's your first time joining! - Rahu Transit in Aquarius: A Vedic Timing DiscussionLink visible for attendees
Let's discuss this current transit (May 2025-Dec 2026) on a personal level. Did you know Vedic astrology has a method to determine which transits will impact you more? Dan has offered to lead our discussion of how to look at our own dashas and timing related to this Rahu transit, so bring your birth details! Please look up your current dasha time period ahead of time. You can use this easy online calculator: https://www.galacticcenter.org/birthchart-calculator
This will be an online, zoom meeting. Find the zoom link on the meetup page below
- Astrology Book Club: Persian Nativities IVLink visible for attendees
Let’s get together and discuss “Persian Nativities IV: On the Revolutions of the Years of the Nativities,” a book about natal predictive techniques (see below) written in the middle ages by Abu Ma’shar, and translated from Arabic by Ben Dykes.
For this meeting (#13), prepare by reading the book through page 476. We will be discussing Book VI: Conditions of the Planets in the Signs (p. 426-476). We should discuss some personal examples as well, that involve interpretive principles as described in this section of the book.
If you want to join the discussion, come to the zoom meeting on August 9th!
Look for the link for the zoom meeting below on the meetup page!
