Let's Learn Dashas! A Vedic Astrology Study Group

Let’s get together for a discussion about the Dasha system of Vedic Astrology. This is a continuing series of meetings covering interpretation of Vimsottari Dashas, and we are using free texts (see below) available online to help us organize topics and structure our discussions. This is a study group and everyone can prepare for each meeting using their own additional sources & please share with the group any sources about the Dasha System you’ve found helpful.

This meeting’s topic is Yogas, and we’ll be discussing some of the Yogas covered in Parashara’s BPHS Ch 39-42. I’ve included suggested readings in a table below so you can use a targeted approach if desired.
We will be discussing Raj yogas, Dhana wealth yogas (and penury yogas) at this meeting.

Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, (R. Santhanam translation) Mantresvara’s Phaladipika Ch 7 on Yogas. As always use whichever source(s) you prefer!

Topics for discussion include
--Raja Yogas, Dhana Yogas, Penury Yogas, see 'table' above. Also the question of when these yogas will take effect, based on the dasha system.

If you are new to the Dasha concept, you might want to familiarize yourself with “what is a dasha?” and "what is a yoga?" before tackling the readings.
