Once again we have been invited to participate in the Maple Ridge Canada Day Celebrations being held in the Memorial Peace Park in the centre of Maple Ridge. This is the fourth time we will be participating and we are looking forward to all the fun and festivities that will be provided.
As this is Canada's 150th, Maple Ridge is extending the celebrations through to 10:00 pm.
During the daytime hours, members of RASC will have solar telescopes available for viewing of the Sun. We will also have posters and other astronomical goodies at our tent.
During the evening hours, members of the RASC will have regular telescopes available for viewing of the Moon and Jupiter.
This is a great day and park for the whole family. There is lots of entertainment for old and young and every age in between.
Inexpensive underground parking is available off of Dewdney Trunk Road, Edge Street and 224th (Haney Place through park drive) A map of the downtown core is found here:
