Details

Dear Stargazers:

Starry Nights is ONLINE tonight: August 29, 9:00 to 10:30 pm!
The weather is great and it's the last Friday of the month, so we will be going ahead with Starry Nights LIVE (online) from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Our hosts have prepared a great list that include some of summer's best nebulae such as the Triffid Nebula and the Eagle Nebula, as well as some galaxies far far away.

The hosts will also be interviewing a special guest student who worked on an astronomy research project this summer and discovered that the galaxies are not behaving as expected! Join the stream to find out more...

Starry Nights is free, and no registration is required.

Those of you who are in the telescope loyalty program who already have a loyalty card can receive credit for attending the event. Email [sfuscienceoutreach@sfu.ca](mailto:sfuscienceoutreach@sfu.ca?subject=Telescope%20Loyalty%20Program) with the list of objects shown in the stream in the correct order. Emails received within an hour of the end of the stream will receive credit for participating.

We'd like to thank the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Vancouver) and the local community of star-watchers for their support in making Starry Nights the biggest Star Party in Canada!
