Starry Nights at Simon Fraser University

Details
SFU is pleased to host the Starry Nights public star night every Friday, 7PM-10PM but subject to cancellation due to weather no later than each Friday at 11AM.
Volunteers will be at the observatory plaza with telescopes and you are encouraged to take a look at the different targets that our volunteers setup.
The event is also open to amateur stargazers and telescope owners. If you own a telescope, and would like to share its views with others, get some help from more serious amateurs, or simply compare views between telescopes before starting your hobby, do come and join us.
NOTE: While this event is free and open to the public, RSVP'ing for this event does not guarantee that you will be able to enter the observatory which will be in a "First Come, First Served" basis. We encourage you to observe with the volunteers on the plaza, talk, and ask questions from many of them who love the night sky.
More information, including an SFU campus map with locations of the observatory, the nearest public (pay) parking, and bus stop, along with our very important observatory house rules and starry-night etiquette, can be found here: https://www.sfu.ca/science/trottierobservatory/starrynights/important-information-on-starry-nights-events.html
RASC thanks SFU and Dr. Howard Trottier who host this event for access to the grounds and observatory. If you do come out, please be sure to thank our volunteers, and to extend to them your utmost patience and understanding.
