See the details here: https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/event-details.htm?id=9A242CD6-BD48-039A-E65B112D00630F29
Fingers crossed for Clear skies for the telescope part! (Have to say that here on the East Coast :)
Parking is also available at Picnic Grove #13, which is adjacent to the viewing area.
Sky viewing from the field should be able to start with Looking at the Moon, and the Great Nebula in the constellation Andromeda, pointing out some bright stars and tracing a few constellations.
As always, the inside planetarium program continues rain or clear skies, and can fill up pretty quick. It's who's able to line up first inside the building on the night of the event. Keep positive thoughts about clear skies so we can explore the night time objects together, and talk about all this Universe has done to make it possible we can even have this get-together.
