Moon and Venus up close observation from the city (Free)

Perhaps you're tired of staring at your screens, or feel like wanting to unwind in a peaceful setting with like minded peace-seekers, then this may be the thing you're after.

We are going to take a break from Planet Earth, set up out telescopes, and wonder in amazement at the craters of the Moon and the beautiful crescent shape of planet Venus, our closest planet.

WHY?
I am out on a mission to make you acquainted with the sky, and to make you just a bit more filled with wonder.

The ancients had mastered the art of using the stars to do everyday tasks, but we rely too much on gadgets while we can do much via some basic knowledge. Let's connect to our roots.

There is an empty sand lot next to the Dubai Canal where I'll be present with my telescope.

The location is about 15 minutes walk from Business Bay Metro.

You will be able to spot me easily.

WHO?
I am a pure hobbyist who loves to share his love of the cosmos with others - I have found the stars to be the best therapy and you will too.

So I want to show you the wonders, and hear from you - your questions, curiosities and everything else. Even the most basic of questions you may have.

AGENDA:
The purpose is to make this a very casual gathering. You don't have to bring anything except a curious mind.

Oh and we will be taking some pictures of the Moon with your mobile phone cameras, via the telescope.
