Hi Group.
I am a member of the Fremont Peak Observatory Association.
you can look their details here https://www.fpoa.net/

Weather permitting, we host observing nights. We set up telescopes and let folks view.

In addition, people can bring their telescopes, cameras and shoot from this location.

I want to invite you all to come and take part of the observing program and also take photos of the milkyway. The location looks south so there is a clear view of the milky way.
Parking is in the fremont peak park parking lot. you then walk up to the observatory, there is a gate, but open to walk in.

I will be at the gate around 8PM and wait for folks to get there.
You will not be able to park next to the observatory, so make provisions to carry your equipment with you.
I really recommend you get a head lamp that has red light, it will make it easier to walk at night.

The milkyway should be visible as soon as it gets dark. The moon is rising around 1 am, so you will also have a chance to shoot a moon rise.

See the web site for most of the details, but you can post questions here as well. I included a few pictures of the area.
