What we’re about
After an erratic 2 1/2 pandemic years, it's time to start scheduling the occasional event again.
Charles Theater AND Keystone Korner are very popular locations. Great Films at the former great Jazz & food & drinks at the latter! There are also events in DC, such as Blues Alley!
Want to go to arthouse movies, indie films as well as the really good mainstream films with the company of others interested in the same?
Did "Indignation" and "FoxCatcher" absorb you?
Did "Still Alice" and "45 Years" cause you to pause?
Was "The Big Short", "Lincoln" and "The Theory of Everything" satisfying?
Do you find documentaries like "Amy" and "Author: JT Le Ray" fascinating?
"The Lobster" disturbing and "Love and Friendship" witty and humorous?
"Sully" a fun mainstream film?
Do you have thoughts, impressions, emotions, ideas stimulated by such films you wish someone was interested in? And you in theirs?
The purpose of this Meetup is to bring similarly engaged adults of all ages and stages of life together to wach these films on the Big Screen. Often, afterwards, we may have optional opportunities to have coffee, snacks and conversation at a cafe within walking distance nearby (or before, on some occaisions.)
If some really good Jazz or Blues comes to town or a play that seems interesting, we might schedule Meetup possibilities for them as well.
