For the second edition of our Foodie Book Club we are reading Piglet by Lottie Hazel. In addition to the discussion, there will be a small menu inspired by the book. As a chef and avid reader, this club is my way of combining the two great passions in my life and in doing so, I hope to create a like-minded community that meets up to celebrate multiple perspectives and varying tastes!

For this book club - our venue is Atelier.968 (you can follow them on Instagram @atelier.968). It's a beautiful space that doubles as a ceramic studio and also holds sewing classes. Maria the owner has very kindly offered her space to us for a minimal fee, which can be paid on the day of the event by cash or MBway.

According to GoodReads - Piglet by Lottie Hazel is An elegant, razor-sharp debut about women's ambitions and appetites—and the truth about having it all.

Piglet’s rather pleased with how her life’s turned out. An up-and-coming cookbook editor at a London publishing house, she’s got lovely, loyal friends and a handsome fiancé, Kit.
But when Kit confesses a horrible betrayal two weeks before they’re set to be married, Piglet finds herself suddenly…hungry.

A stylish, uncommonly clever novel about the things we want and the things we think we want, Piglet is both an examination of women’s often complicated relationship with food and a celebration of the messes life sometimes makes for us.

You can choose to read the book or hear the audio version (or just come for the food and discussion :)) No pressure!
