For the next edition of our Foodie Book Club we are reading Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. A memoir about love, loss, and the Korean food that holds it all together. Crying in H Mart is a book about daughterhood, diaspora, and the impossible task of preserving someone through the things they fed you. Get your hankies out in anticipation.

As a chef and avid reader, this club is my way of combining the two great passions in my life and in doing so, I hope to create a like-minded community that meets up to celebrate multiple perspectives and varying tastes!

And we have an exciting new development for this edition — we are hosting the evening at a Korean restaurant in Porto, as a nod to the heart of the book itself. There will be a special menu with both chicken and vegetarian options available, so you can eat your way into the story.

Seating is limited to 15 guests, so book your spot soon!
