Interval training is essential to becoming a stronger, faster rider.
Doing 300W efforts on the public road however is not very safe, so it is better to do it on a track, similar to an athletic track where you do your speedwork.

If you don't have experience with intervals, simply look up some interval workouts on Trainingpeaks or Garmin/Wahoo and program these into your bike computer.

Where: Sloten Wielercircuit: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bYniTpigzzHZ4Ych7. You can enter the track by going underneath the viaduct and immediately turn left and go through one of the gates.

When: Every Wednesday at 7am

What: You do your own workout, based on your speed and own intervals, however, oftentimes there are other members there as well training.

Afterwards: Croissants at Le Fournil de Sébastien

Please note:

  • ATAC has not rented the track, but it's usually open to the public at this time of the day. Watch out for walkers/runners and other riders, especially on your first lap
  • This is not a group ride, each of us is doing his/her own laps, but seeing friendly faces early in the morning is a great motivator to push yourself hard.
  • Feel free to use your TT bike as this is not a group ride
