Helping the homeless - Monthly Giveaway

Note that it's always a good idea to double-check the event page before you hop in your car on the morning of a giveaway, in case there are last-minute changes.

This month's event will be a hybrid of our last two locations. It appears we can go the Wall for a giveaway, as long as we're not there for too long. So we're going to give away goods at the Wall, after packing some bags to hand out, which will go faster. You can join us to pack bags, or to hand them out, or both.

At 9:00, we’re going to meet at the home of one of our volunteers, KC, who has the trailer with all the supplies. At his home (1239 Kiker Cir), we’re going to pack bags of supplies to pass out to people.

At 10:00, we're going to the Wall (164 Phifer Avenue / Montford Point Street) to hand out supplies.

In this event, Charlotte Atheists & Agnostics partners with Atheists Helping the Homeless to give toiletries and clothing to the our neighbors in need in Charlotte. Volunteers can help serve food, set up and distribute clothing, help people pack bags with supplies, and set up/tear down. Its a good way to give back to the community and engage with the homeless in Charlotte to see that they are just regular people.
