Ever wonder how to justify your Atheism to your family, your friends and the world?  Chris Johnson will tell you how, if anybody can.

Johnson brings you the sheer joy and freedom of being an Atheist as told by some top Atheist celebrities.

Come, hear how Atheism has changed their lives for the better oby such luminaries as Julia Sweeney, Richard Dawkins and Penn Teller.

MAY 29, 2014  (THUR.)          6:30PM                                                                                   NYC ATHEISTS MONTHLY MEETINGS

BOOK: A Better Life: 100 Atheists Speak Out on Joy & Meaning in a World Without  god

This book of commentary featuring Richard Dawkins, Dan Dennett, A.C. Grayling, Lawrence M. Krauss, Steven Pinker, Penn & Teller, James Randi, Julia Sweeney, and more! The myth persists. Even in our modern world, countless people believe that without god, one’s life has no purpose or meaning — that the lives of atheists are devoid of joy and happiness because they are not religious. Johnson’s book contradicts that myth.

An interesting presentation. It would have been nice if the presenter had told a few more anecdotes about the people he interviewed for his book.

Chris Johnson, our charming speaker, left me with a most uplifting feeling: our lives are like that of flowers in a field--we are born, we blossom & bloom and then we die. That's what we know for sure. Chris suggested that we use the blooming period of our lives fully, thoughtfully and productively rather than wait for some mythical life after death in heaven. "Know the limits of your existence on earth and live it fully."

Ooookay. Rose, I wrote that the author's photo is directly above. Scroll up this column. Now who do you see? Is it Hillary Clinton? Noooooo. Is it Rand Paul? Nooooo. Could it be....omg! Could Chris Johnson, the guy in the photo, be the speaker?

Rose, of course there is an author to this book. His photo is directly above. The only book I know of without an author is the Bible. It seems god is still fuming about His royalties and refuses to let his name be used as the author of that mishmosh. "Plagiarists, all of them," He has been known to say. "They stole all that stuff from the Wiccans in 200 BC. The schmucks."
