Atheists of WNC

We hope you will come meet some of the group this coming Sunday morning (10AM - noon) or some time soon. We meet every Sunday at Earth Fare's cafe for just conversation among like-minded non-believers.
In addition, two Sundays per month we also have a Book Club that meets at Standard Pizza on Biltmore. We also have Wednesday evening meetings at either Boodas Brewing or Trailside in Hendersonville once a month. You should receive emails about each of those events and are welcome to attend.

Our group now has 125+ members. It has become a nice community. The conversations are usually 10-20 people and have been excellent. We chat about atheism and religion, and sometimes about things that are not related to religion at all.

None of us believe in religion. Some of us wonder if "the universe" or something energy-related affects our lives, while others feel that someday science will be able to explain time-without-beginning and other mysteries.

Until further notice our Sunday get togethers will be 10AM - noon at the cafe at Earth Fare. RSVP is requested but not required.

The address is 66 Westgate Pkwy, Asheville. Earth Fare is a large and excellent "health supermarket". It's in the Westgate Shopping Center, which is right off Patton after crossing the bridge on 240 West. Earth Fare is at the far end of the parking lot. There is plenty of free parking. They have a very nice cafe that you'll find off to the left after entering the store. The grocery area also has some good deals - see https://www.earthfare.com/#about

We’ll have a sign so you can see what table(s) we are using. Bringing kids and dogs is not recommended.

Because we appreciate each participant, suggestions and input are welcome.

1. Is 10AM Sunday a good time for you? Would another time or another day be better for you?
2. Do you have other coffee houses or breakfast places to suggest?
3. Is there some other kind of get together you'd like to organize? It could be one-time or recurring. Some possibilities - movie club, bowling...who knows? Perhaps an online Zoom chat?
