Memorial Day Weekend Charity Fund-Raiser Games & Party! - (Weather Dependent)

Let’s officially kick off the unofficial start to summer!

We always enjoy getting together to soak up the sun, play some games, and, weather depending, splash in the water with friends.

So, come join us at Alec's house to get together for some fun, frolicking and friendship. Rather than everyone bringing a huge smorgasbord of extra (albeit yummy) dishes, we are going to ask folks to chip in $8 toward more simple fare, that we'll pick up ahead of time.

But in turn, we are offering the opportunity for everyone to show their appreciation for those veterans whose sacrifices are being especially recognized and celebrated on Memorial Day. No obligation, but we will be collecting for two great organizations: The Wounded Warriors who assist veterans who have been injured in the line of their duties, as well as as the Gold Star Family group, which focuses on helping families who have lost loved ones during service to our country.

We'll swim, float, and play volleyball, yard soccer, frisbee, corn hole, KanJam, and dodge ball. (Lily is our reigning dodge ball champ). There’s also a playground three houses away, and the New Scotland Town Park’s great disc golf course is right behind Alec’s backyard.

Have no fear that you'll leave hungry though, as we will have plenty of burgers, hotdogs, salads, soda, bottled water, cookies, and chips.

Kids are totally welcome, but you are responsible for keeping an eye on them, especially around the pool. Just give me heads up, so I know to break out the SlipN'Slide too.

BYOB for drinks. But absolutely no glass bottles though, anywhere at any time. You absolutely must drink responsibly, and immediately respect direction or guidance in that regard from the organizers.
