Play in the Bay! - Picnic, Swimming, and In-the-lake-V-ball @Log Bay (Part II)

Details
This is Part II of a two-part meetup. You can attend only Part I or Part II or both. If you plan to attend both parts, please sign up for each individually.
Part II is a walk to Log Bay on Lake George! (where all the party boats dock and hang out).
At Log Bay you can relax on the shore, swim, and play volleyball ... right in the bay! … as the water is generally waist-deep throughout a large part of the bay.
On the other side you can even jump off a small cliff (if you are feeling adventuresome.). We always have a great time at this spot.
The walk to Log Bay from Lot#5 is only about a half mile each way, but it is a dirt trail, not flip-flop-able.
We’ll picnic right by the Bay, so bring a bag chair though, as there may not be any free picnic tables available there. We will be have a portable grill and cook up some hotdogs 🌭🌭 for everyone. Please bring something to drink for yourself (no glass bottles). Also bring either an easy-to-carry-n-share dish, snack or dessert … or $5 toward the hot dogs and accoutrements. We will meet at Parking Lot #5 on Shelving Rock Road at 12:45 pm and head to Shelving Rock Falls at 1:00 pm sharp.
Please bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, a swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, visor/hat and water sneakers or beach shoes.
Parking Lot #5 is off of Shelving Rock Road. If you enter Shelving Rock Falls into MapQuest it should bring you to it. However, there is no internet from the parking lot so please note the following directions in case you have any issues finding Parking Lot #5:
- You will get off Exit 20 of the Northway and get on Buttermilk Falls Road.
- Buttermilk Falls Road will merge into Sly Pond Road.
- Sly Pond Road will become Shelving Rock Road.
- After you've been on Shelving Rock Road for a little while you will start to see Parking Lots. They are clearly labeled starting at #1. Parking lot #5 is on the left side.
It's possible that Parking Lot #5 will be full. If so, you can park at Parking Lot #4 or #6 and walk there as neither is far.
If you have any questions at all regarding this trip, please message me (Alec) directly.
It costs our group $250 a year for membership, and we always need some replacement equipment, so small donations are much appreciated.
