Hike And Swim: Moreau Lake State Park

Moreau Lake State Park is a local gem! We're going to hike in from the north side (see directions at the end of this description) and spend some time at the beach before hiking back out.

The hike in is about 4.5 miles, moderate difficulty, includes a significant climb. The hike out is 3.5 miles, and somewhat easier. The swim in between should be awesome on a hot day! This is very kid-friendly for ages 8 and up.

Meet at 9:00, hitting the trail at 9:15 sharp.

Bring:
- LOTS OF WATER!!! 2 liters minimum. It's going to be 80s and humid.
- A snack/picnic lunch for yourself.
- Bathing suit and towel.
- You cannot do this hike in sandals! Hiking shoes/boots are a must.

Note that we are not meeting at the main park entrance. Instead, we are meeting at the DEC boat launch off of Spier Falls Road, near the northern end of the park. In Google Maps search for "Cottage Park Trailhead". Park across the street at the DEC boat launch.

Also note: there is no cell service at the DEC boat launch. Make sure you open your map on your phone before you are actually lost :)
