Let's have an evening of fun and dancing with Ill Funk Ensemble at Van Slyck's inside Rivers Casino.

A slick mash-up of hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and rock that’s been compared to The Roots, The Ill Funk Ensemble has been making steady waves in the independent music scene for the last few years, culminating in a win for Best R&B/Soul artist at the Artists in Music Awards in Los Angeles, California in 2013.

A few of us attended an Ill Funk Ensemble show, and they delivered and brought down the house. They killed it with an extended version of California Love and crushed it with their rendition of Rump Shaker!

DJ RVMBA will be spinning to keep the energy flowing and your body grooving while Ill Funk Ensemble is on break.

The band takes the stage at 9pm, I should be there around 8pm. If someone gets there before I do, snag a small round table that would be great!

This show will be held at Van Slyck venue inside the casino. Should you get a grumble in your tummy after all that dancing, there are several dining options on premise. (Villa Italia pastries are tantalizingly delicious!)
