Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully
In Person / Online
Death is the most obvious truth of our existence.
Facing our own impermanence and the impermanence of others, with wisdom, has great meaning and brings us much peace. Buddha taught that there is no need to fear death. Although death and dying are difficult, they also can be one of life’s most transformative, and even positive experiences.
In this series we will learn about the practice of Powa, or transference of consciousness, where through the power of our prayers, faith, compassion and concentration, we create the causes for the recently deceased to gain a fortunate rebirth in a Pureland.
Each class includes a teaching and guided meditation. No experience is needed and you don’t need to be a Buddhist. Everyone is welcome!
