Let's discuss the book "The Left Hand of Darkness" Ursula K. Le Guin

Details
##
This meeting will be in-person at The Intown Retreat in Decatur.
For November's meeting, we will read "Left Hand of Darkness" by Ursula Le Guin.
For Decembers meeting, we will listen to a TBD podcast.
The people who come will vote on the next book (in two months). Bring ideas please!
We will still try to read current-ish fiction (last 15 years) that represents diverse voices, is already in paperback, and has won or been nominated for any award (I'm a snob).
For podcasts I'm wide open.

About our book:
A groundbreaking work of science fiction, The Left Hand of Darkness tells the story of a lone human emissary to Winter, an alien world whose inhabitants spend most of their time without a gender. His goal is to facilitate Winter's inclusion in a growing intergalactic civilization. But to do so he must bridge the gulf between his own views and those of the completely dissimilar culture that he encounters.
Embracing the aspects of psychology, society, and human emotion on an alien world, The Left Hand of Darkness stands as a landmark achievement in the annals of intellectual science fiction.
