ADA – An Atlanta Case Study

Details
Schedule Update: My apologies to both our guest speaker and the audience for the last-minute change. A work-related deadline will prevent me from hosting this at the originally scheduled time so I'm pushing it out by one week (2/18). Time remains the same. I look forward to seeing everyone then.
-------------------------
Mark your calendars and join us for our first Meetup of 2025. Jacob Chambers will be our special guest and he'll be discussing the ADA and Atlanta built environments.
The built environment is the primary way we interact with the world around us, and people with accessibility needs are often left behind. Our world is primarily designed for the convenience of able-bodied people and the flow of automobile traffic instead of universal access. Let’s explore the current challenges as well as some potential solutions, using Atlanta as a case study.
Topics:
- Requirements of the ADA
- Daily challenges for universal access
- Transportation investments and land use
- What we can do to fix it
