Cosmic Conversations at Fernbank Science Center

GSU is excited to announce the next public talk in their 'Cosmic Conversations' series at the Fernbank Science Center planetarium, featuring Dr. Viacheslav (Slava) Sadykov on December 4th.

• $10 - ticket price for the 7pm planetarium show ($5 for students), which will lead directly into Dr. Sadykov's talk
• $5 - ticket price for Dr. Sadykov's talk, beginning at 8pm

Dr. Sadykov will be discussing space weather, our methods of detecting space weather, and how we are employing cutting-edge artificial intelligence techniques to predict solar weather events.

Dr. Sadykov is one of GSU's resident solar experts, and focuses his research on solar flare activity. He also serves as one of the main developers of the Interactive Multi-Instrument Database of Solar Flares and the Radiation Data Portal (https://data.nas.nasa.gov/helio/).
