"Anthem by Ayn Rand" - Discussion Social via Zoom
One Sunday, Dec 6 at 4pm, we'll gather via zoom to share and discuss our favorite passage from the powerful and deeply moving short novel Anthem.
Anthem is a powerful work of American literature by Ayn Rand. The story takes place at an unspecified future date when mankind has entered another Dark Age. Technological advancement is now carefully planned and the concept of individuality has been eliminated.
A young man known as Equality 7-2521 rebels by doing secret scientific research. When his activity is discovered, he flees into the wilderness with the girl he loves.
This a remarkable story of that traces a young man's evolution from slavery to freedom.
Together they plan to establish a new society based on rediscovered individualism.
Anthem is a quick read or audio book listen - about 2 hours in length.
