SQL Server on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with Ravi Lobo

Abstract:
Kubernetes is the most popular choice for infrastructure abstraction and orchestration. Microsoft products like SQL Server 2019 Big Data Cluster and Azure ARC work only on Kubernetes. While stateless applications work smoothly on Kubernetes, stateful systems like databases come with challenges.

In this session we will have a look at the challenges and benefits of installing a SQL Server on AKS. Some of the topics covered in this session are: restoring databases in a Container, setting static name for SQL Server, Kubernetes architecture, and tools for administering Kubernetes.
