Find your true nature with meditation in Atlanta in-town with Grant Park Meditation at Chua Quang Minh Buddhist Temple, ITP near East Atlanta Village.
Grant Park Meditation welcomes everyone for mindfulness and meditation small group practice. You don't need to have any experience - we'll provided mats, cushions, chairs, and guided meditation. Calm down, relax, focus your mind, and be more aware. Buddhist meditation can benefit people of all backgrounds. Please wear comfortable, modest clothes that are appropriate for respecting sacred spaces and preserving mindfulness.
We meet usually one Wednesday night of the month 7:30 - 9pm for Meditation and Dharma Talk / Discussion; and one Sunday of the month at 2 - 3pm for guided insight meditation or sound bath.

Quang Minh Temple is the oldest Vietnamese Buddhist temple in the state and located near Zoo Atlanta, not far from Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, and downtown Atlanta. All of our events are offered for free; donations are appreciated.

Atlanta Guided Meditation and Mindfulness in Grant Park

### Wednesday Night Dharma Talk and Meditation
One Wednesday of the Month, next date: December 10, 2025 and January 14, 2026, 7:30 PM - 9 PM
Example Teacher: Geshe Ngawang Phende
Geshe Ngawang Phende, a resident Tibetan monk at the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Brookhaven, will lead our Dharma Talk and meditation. Having recently shared teachings on transforming emotions, Geshe-la will continue to guide us in working with emotions in daily life. This session will conclude with a brief meditation led by Geshe-la to dedicate the practice for the benefit of all beings.
Dec 10 will be Venerable Priya, Buddhist chaplain at Emory University.
Jan 14, 2026 will be Venerable Jampa Thakchoe, on mental health and well-being from a Buddhist psychology approach
### Sunday Afternoon Basic Meditation and/or Sound Bath
One Sunday of the Month , next date: January 11, 2026, 2 PM - 3 PM
Facilitator: Peer practitioner / experienced lay meditator
Many of our volunteer leaders also help out at Georgia Buddhist Summer Camp since it began more than twelve years ago. Our meditation may focus on breath awareness, mindfulness, and compassion. This practice will include both seated and walking meditation to enrich the experience.
*Visitors are also warmly invited to join our Vietnamese-language service at 11:30 AM Participants can engage in Vietnamese chanting, listen to sutra readings, and enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch with the community afterward.
These two sessions are open to everyone, whether you’re new to Buddhism or an experienced practitioner. There is no charge; donations are welcome. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to seeing you twice a month!

- Entrance to the right of the Buddha Hall
- Remove shoes before entering
- Maintain quiet reverence
- Digital Detox: We encourage you to not use electronic devices for the session. Please be sure to silence your phone.
- Comfort and Modesty: Please wear clothes that are respectful and appropriate for sacred spaces (i.e., avoid bare shoulders and short shorts).
