Welcome to our Meet up for LGBT and Allies. We are very please to be continuing this group and would like to talk to some of the previous host or leader of how we can continue what you have been doing monthly and add other LGBT events. We are Downtown Decatur focused but as we learn more of what the membership wants we can expand. For now you do have a home in Downtown Decatur and the weekly Game Nights we are hosting at Bench Warmers in Decatur starting May 29th, 2025. We originally started as a Mahjong Social Club but people have wanted to bring partner, spouses, friends that do not play Mahjong.. so here we are. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Don't worry if you're new to the game - our group is welcoming and happy to help newcomers. (See Lesson offering under events) Bring your tiles and racks, or simply come to learn and observe. We will have a table for beginners and more for Intermediate, advanced players.
The Venue is in Downtown Decatur will be published each week. We have 3 options of Venues. We have plenty of room for lunch and or our Friday Lunch and Play at Cafe Lily in Decatur. We have 6 tables for 24 players and chairs for newbies that want to watch.

Fridays with Lunch at Cafe Lily. 1130 Meet for lunch, Play at 1245ish to 3P max. We order our lunch Thursdays by 1130 so that it is ready at 1145A on Friday to expedite for more time for play.
Our First Beginner Series of Lessons will be held on Wednesdays from 530P to 6P social/cocktails, 6 to 8 pm lessons on April 23, April 30, May 7, and May 14th at Cafe Lily, see the events page.

they are $14. or $15 for Large type. Only order from the National Org, as many bootlegged cards out on amazon, Walmart and other places. New cards come out every March around the 25th, which keeps the game interesting. We do have about 8 cards extra from our order, just ask.
We will use the 2024/0r 2025 Cards, as most people don't have the new cards and corrected cards are being sent out later in the month. Bring you 2024 card or your new one. (we have extra's you can borrow until your card comes). First meet up was April 11th, 2025 and we had 11 players of which 6 were beginners, but we are growing.

Instead of the PayPal meet up which is automatically set up. They charge us $2.25 per $10 charge. The dues are to offset our yearly Meet up Organization fee, supplies, expenses, and a small reserve fund. Mahjong-Bring your 2025 Official Mahjong Cards, or we will have 2024 cards if you do not have your cards yet. They have been very slow at sending them out but the first 2 weeks of June is the target arrival date. And bring your own Tiles Sets.
