Pilgrimage to Pasaquan

Details
Pasaquan is a phantasmagorical compound created by the eccentric folk artist Eddie Owen Martin, known as St. EOM. Martin also happened to be gay. The site consists of a redone farmhouse and other outbuildings, brightly painted concrete sculptures, totems and painted concrete walls. For years Pasaquan languished and decayed, and, in fact, WNG hosted some service trips there. But now a non-profit foundation has restored the site and it is magnificent.
The place must be seen to be believed. The walls and structures are covered with abstract images and hallucinogenic visions, New York drag queens and aliens from space (remarkably similar), colorful mandalas and concrete cocks, rattlesnakes and mountain-scapes.
I have booked a Pasaquan group tour at 1 pm. The site is near Buena Vista, about two and a half hours from Atlanta. There is a suggested donation of $10 per person.
This will be a joint trip with Wilderness Network of Georgia.
