Sweetwater Creek State Park

Sorry, for the short notice!! We’re hiking Sweetwater Creek, Monday 7/7/2025. Sweetwater Creek has a number of trails overlooking the creek and a beautiful steel and wood bridge. So beautiful and so close to the city. Who’s coming?!

•Meet at the Sweetwater Creek visitor center 1750 Mount Vernon Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122.

From Mount Vernon turn left onto Factory Shoals Rd, pay to park then proceed to visitors center. We’ll wait 10 minutes and then we’ll get started.
•Parking is $5 unless you have a GA State Parks annual pass.
Total should be just under 4 easy to moderate miles.

•Don’t forget water and snacks if needed!

•This is a no judgement zone, so once you feel you’ve gotten your workout for the day, feel free to drop off from the group. We’ll all encourage you to finish the whole way, but you know your body best. Listen to it.

•This is still a hike, so plan to get a good workout in while meeting new people.

•This is a dog friendly hike but they must be on leash.
-We will have an optional brunch following at Tiffany's Kitchen on Lee Rd.
