Details

Hey everyone!! It's time for another easy late summer hike.

We're hiking Carter Center/Freedom Park/Olmsted Linear parks. This is an easy 4.2 mile loop paved trail and is dog friendly. Who’s coming?!

•Meet at the Carter Library parking lot at 9am to beat the heat. Park toward the back on the left side as you face the library. .The library has a circle of flags in front. Look for me in the parking area I'm 6'8" easy to spot.

From the parking lot we will walk across the street to Freedom Park following the Freedom park trail then turn left on Moreland toward Ponce deLeon blvd and then turn right before Ponce de Leon into the linear parks. We'll walk through Oak Grove Park, Shadyside Park and Dellwood Park then turn around and walk back through Freedom Park to return to the Carter Library.

•Don’t forget water and snacks if needed!

  • This is a loop so be prepared and ready to walk 4.2 miles. Do go at your own pace, you know your body and experience level. This is an easy hike.

•This is still a hike, so plan to get a good workout in while meeting new people.

•This is a dog friendly hike.
