Happy Thanksgiving!
A geat time for taking a walk on the sunny side of the river.
Come join us on the picturesque Chattahoochee river boardwalk in Roswell. This will be an easy going stroll along the river. The boardwalk is over the scenic Willeo Creek wetlands area near the nature center. It is November, the last weekend before Thanksgiving, so dress warm and let's hope Mother Nature cooperates with some sun for the sunny side of the river :)
We will meet at the Azelia Park boat launch. For reference, the boat launch is in the parking lot, just East of the Nantahala Outdoor Center at 203 Azalea Dr Roswell, GA 30075. This is a short journey for any of us OTP hikers in the East Cobb, Roswell/Alpharetta, or Sandy Springs areas.
We will play it by ear for distance. There are a couple good turnaround points along the boardwalk. There is the Lady with the Jar statue, which would make a 2.5 mile hike. But like I say, we'll play it by ear, this is an as you will at your own pace hike, if folks want to do more or less. That whole section of the river makes for a nice scenic walk.
For those who would like to get lunch and explore some of Roswell, the Roswell Junction food hall is near by with a wide selection of cuisine including vegan options for after the hike.

Looking forward to seeing folks for the hike at the river :)
