### Building SQL databases in Fabric for Dashboards and Datamarts: Design, Indexing, and Compression
SQL database in Fabric can be an excellent solution for your datamart or to support your dashboard. However, to keep those dashboards and reports running smoothly, you must optimize your database design and indexing strategies. In this session, you will learn about the best practices for designing and building a star schema database in SQL database and how to structure your database. You will understand how to use columnstore indexes, and data compression and when to use heaps to make data ingest go faster. Whether you are an old DBA or a new data engineer, you will learn a lot in this demo-filled session.
