Outdoor Adventure Hike for SGL Men and Women Over 40's in Atlanta Metro

Calling all adventurous SGL souls in the Atlanta Metro area over 40! Join us for an exciting outdoor adventure hike up Stone Mountain as we explore the beautiful trails and scenic landscapes together. Whether you are an experienced hiker or just looking to connect with like-minded individuals, this event is perfect for you. Get ready to conquer the trails, soak in the fresh air, and create lasting memories with new friends.

This hike will not only challenge you physically but also provide a great opportunity to unwind, destress, and appreciate the beauty of nature. Be prepared for a fun-filled day of adventure and exploration. Don't miss out on this chance to make the most of the stunning outdoor offerings at Stone Mountain.

Agenda: A pass into Stone Mountain park is $20 daily per car or $40 annually and includes parking. Do bring friends and/or allies. We will meet by the bathrooms at the bottom of the mountain for meet and greet and icebreaker. The hike is one mile up and one mile down. This is a moderately strenuous hike with breaks as necessary. Helping and supporting each other up the mountain is the goal. This is not a race. No man or woman will be left behind. At the top we will celebrate our victory, enjoy the view, and connect for 30 minutes before heading back down the mountain. Cold drinks will be provided at the bottom as we say our goodbyes until next time!

Preparations:
Tennis shoes or hiking boots will work. Please be sure to bring a towel, hat, and water. Some might also want sunscreen, insect spray, snacks, hiking poles, and knee/ankle/back supports. I use them all. I just turned 50 and I use all the supports I can get, so do not be ashamed. Please be sure to practice walking at least two miles or more before the hike, but do not walk the day before.
