Welcome! Let's meet in Piedmont Park and walk around Piedmont Park. For a specific place, let's meet outside Atlanta Botanical Garden Gift Shop between 1:15 and 1:25 PM. (NOTE: DO NOT BUY BOTANICAL GARDEN TICKETS; we will walk to the free Piedmont Park.) Typically holding a RED FOLDER or Meetup sign. Then we would walk around the park for 1 hour, like to see the lake! :)

• BONUS: we can walk 30 minutes more for people who wish.
• PARKING:
• Free parking is hard if you want to park along the edge of the park. Instead, you might plan on parking in the community west or south of the park.
• Atlanta Botanical Parking Garage (can't miss when going to the gift shop): the parking garage is officially shared with Piedmont Park). $7 for 2 hours, $9 for 2.5 hours (as of Nov 2024)

If you want to park in the parking garage:
- Note: sometimes the main Piedmont Ave entrance says, for people USING Piedmont Park instead of USING the Botanical Garden, the entrance is closed, so use Monroe Drive (to get to the other side of parking garage).
- If main entrance closed: here is the Monroe Drive entrance:

(Note one time Google said Monroe Drive entrance is closed, but a Meetup walker said in reality Monroe Drive entrance was open. So please try Monroe Drive entrance if Piedmont Ave entrance has a sign.)

If you are in the parking garage, and walk out, and end up at a hill,

• TURN RIGHT
  to go up the hill.
• THEN TURN RIGHT
  to go along the length of the garage

• Speed: Leisurely-to-medium pace
• Length: 1 hour (+10 minutes arrival time)
