Atlanta Node.js April Meeting

Details

Hello Peeps!

As per standard, we have another great meeting lined up for you this month.

Eric Martindale will present

Maki: From Zero to MVP in Five Minutes

Your application expands in scope linearly and grows in complexity exponentially – learn how to use Maki, a new architecture platform, for structuring your NodeJS application using a new method, Resource Driven Design, with a fully functional REST API and streaming socket support out of the box. Maki-powered applications are naturally extensible, so we’ll go through the process of building an application from scratch and expanding upon it to show how small a powerful application can be.

Eric is as BitPay’s Developer Evangelist and open source advocate, and was the founding engineer and CTO of several NodeJS-powered companies. He is the co-host of the DECENTRALIZE podcast, and a proud autodidact and polymath.

After Eric's presentation, Joseph DeCarlo will moderate

Open Spaces

Open Spaces is a discussion format that allows attendees to vote on and participate in conversations on topics chosen by the audience. It is a great way for you to talk about or just learn about a topic that you chose. It also allows other audience members to share their expertise.

Social

After the meeting, we will meet at Industry Tavern for drinks and food. It is walking distance from the meeting at 3280 Peachtree Road.
There is a parking deck located in the basement of Atlanta Tech Village. Parking charges are reduced to $1.00 per hour in their deck, if you arrive after 5pm. There is also alternate parking available near the venue.

I can't wait to see you all there!

Joe.
