Primary Colors - Theme Competition

Due to Covid-19, monthly competitions will continue to be held online. This year, we are going to have only two categories - Color and B&W (Mono). The number of entries per member for theme competitions is limited as follows:

Monochrome and Color - 8 images max (4 images max per category)

Images for this theme competition must strongly emphasize one primary color (of the photographer's choice). For example: the featured image above stresses blue.

For this “Primary and Secondary Colors” theme one of the primary or secondary colors (Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Orange, and Green) stands out as a crucial artistic element in the image.

For monochrome images, you may want to use a single point of color to act as a focal part of the composition. You can use a single color to bring attention to the subject and/or express the mood of the subject or the scene.

Whatever color you choose, you do not want the use of a single color to be ambiguous or obtuse. The single color should capture the attention and curiosity of a potential viewer; tempt them to stop and check out your image.

Due to the continuing Covid-19 virus nationwide social distancing recommendations this will be a virtual meeting using ZOOM. All paid APS members will receive an email w/link to the meeting.
