Blind Guardian: Formed in 1984 in Germany, but officially began playing as under the name in 1987. The band plays a mix of speed metal and heavy metal and pioneered the sound that influenced later bands in the 1980s and 1990s, such as Hammerfall, Kamelot, and Sabaton. Blind Guardian is known for storytelling and concept arcs in the lyrical content, sometimes supported with elements from classical music such as leitmotifs. The band has released 11 full length albums, released a collaboration involving heavy metal, opera, and symphonies, and its members have contributed to a number of other projects such as Demons & Wizards and Sinbreed. This tour is commemorating their 1992 album Somewhere Far Beyond.

Ensiferum: From Finland and formed in 1995. The band name is Latin for "sword-bearing". The band plays a grandiose style of heavy metal and includes a number of folk elements in the music. The band has released 9 full length albums.

Seven Kingdoms: Formed in 2007 and hails from the state of Florida. The band performs a mix of heavy and thrash metal, with themes focusing on the works of R. R. Martin, from which their name is drawn as well. The band has released 5 full length albums to date.
