Bear witness... to a legacy of woe at Kennesaw Mountain. The Noses Creek Trail goes through the woods that were once homesteads but turned into a battlefield during the Civil War. The trail goes through the woods, with a loop after a brief straight path. The trail goes through the woods, open fields, and crosses a creek. The trail is a little under 3 miles. Much of the trail is flat, with some hills. The trail is rated as easy.

The pace will be slow enough for everyone to enjoy, with breaks throughout the hike. It is estimated to finish the hike between 1.5-2 hours. But this will vary with the group pace. However, only you know yourself. If you are unused to hiking, an easy trail might be more strenuous. While the pace and breaks will be adjusted for everyone, once started the only way back is to walk. Weather in mid FEB has a high in the 70s and a low in the 20s. Winter weather in Georgia can bring icy conditions, fog, and rain. Unless the weather is severe, the event is rain or shine.

Dress appropriately and bring water.

We will meet at the Pigeon Hill Parking. Please note, Meetup has a terrible GPS / mapping system outside of cities. It is best if you check the directions with your own GPS before beginning travel. As a National Park, there is a parking fee. This can be paid either at the Visitor Center or via QR Code / online at the Pigeon Hill Parking. Afterward, we will meet at Basecamp at Kennesaw Mountain for brunch, approximately 2.5 miles from the parking lot:
1718 Old 41 Hwy NW, Marietta, GA

Everyone is welcome, regardless of one's levels of experience, and this is a good hike for beginners. Once again, only you know your limits. No one within ARMS is responsible if you are unprepared or engage in unsafe activities, to include but not limited to:

-Failure to properly hydrate
-Not bringing a raincoat
-Eating strange plants or mushrooms
-Harassing the wildlife (e.g. deer, snakes, The Predator)
