The RiverWalk is an outdoor 15-mile linear park that hugs the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
For centuries, the Chattahoochee River has flowed from the mountains of North Georgia to the oyster beds of the Florida Panhandle. Sometimes a trickle. Sometimes angrily slapping against the rocks. Always telling a story of the history of Georgia and of Columbus.
This adventure is one of the options for those who are driving/riding to Columbus GA, but not participating in whitewater rafting. However we hope you will join us for brunch after the rafting!
We willl meet at the only Walmart in Newnan GA on exit 47 off 85 South. We will meet on the pharmacy side of Walmart, at the far end of the parking lot. It is a 75 minute ride to Columbus, GA.
After rafting, some may want to stay for Brunch at the Metro Diner! Awesome chicken and Waffles and affordable prices! Others might want to journey back to Atlanta.
