💫 Free Hugs + Flow Arts + Picnic at Decatur Arts Festival

Hello Mystics!

Throughout Spring and Summer, we will continue to offer excuses for our members to hang out casually. The Decatur Arts Festival on seems like a perfect event with free music, vendors and a little green space to gather.

You can bring picnic blankets, food, families, hula hoops, flow arts, or frisbees, and offer free hugs to the people you meet. You can wear a "free hugs" t-shirt or bring a "free hugs" sign if that's something you want to participate in. But it's totally optional.

Duration:
The festival goes from 10am-6pm. Entheo Temple members expect to be there from 12-3pm. You are invited and encouraged to attend and meet the other members or just hang out all day enjoying the spectacle.

Meeting location:
Decatur Square Pavillion
509 N McDonough St
Decatur, GA 30030

Members will set up on the lawn near the pavilion (pictures below). It will be hopefully be easy to find us!

Bring:
Food, water, and picnic blanket! Wear layers in case you're sensitive to temperature, comfy shoes for walking around. Bring headphones or ear plugs if you are sensitive to sensory stimulation. Bring sunscreen and shades.

Transportation:
The best way to get to the Decatur Arts Festival (Decatur Square) is to arrive via MARTA on the Blue Line. This is your fastest, easiest, and most headache free way to attend the free festival. You may also have luck taking Uber or Lyft, but it could get expensive.

Parking:
There is LIMITED FESTIVAL PARKING in the immediate area. All local lots and side streets will be posted and vehicles will be subject to towing to alleviate congestion for local residents.

Cost:
The festival itself is free!

Participation:

• Let us know if you are interested in bringing flow arts toys (hula hoops, poi, etc) and teaching others how to use them!
• Let us know if you are interested in meeting new people through a "free hugs" initiative -- as a few of the organizers are happy join you!
• Let us know if you can bring a large food or beverage offering to share with the group! (there will also be food vendors)
