*YOU MUST RSVP HERE ON THE VOLUNTEER CALENDAR TO ATTEND!! SPACES ARE LIMITED SO THAT WE CAN GUARANTEE THAT THERE ARE ENOUGH TOOLS FOR EVERYONE** If the link is no longer available for that day, that means that all of the spaces are full. Please don't just show up if the spaces are full. This is also so that you will receive notifications about cancellations due to weather. I will not be cancelling it on Meetup. That call will be made by the Farm Manager and communicated using the list of RSVPs through the Volunteer Calendar.

Concrete Jungle is a non-profit that works to combat food waste and food insecurity. Their mission is to transform overlooked and underutilized fruit trees and land into a healthy food source for communities in need. Through their fruit picks and farm picks, farm days, and Produce Buyers Club program, they strive to make sure all families have access to fresh produce.

Come honor MLK Day by volunteering with us at their urban farm in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood of Southwest Atlanta. It may be less than one acre but it produces literal TONS of food. Since they started the farm in 2012, they’ve grown thousands of pounds of beets, carrots, collards, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, potatoes, radishes, summer squash, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips and winter squash.

Throughout the year, they have farm workdays on select Thursdays from 6 PM - 8 PM and select Saturday from 10 AM- 1 PM. These are a great opportunity to get your sweat on, learn a little bit about growing food, meet new people all while helping to produce more food for Atlanta’s food insecure. Meggie, Sam, and Shar are the farm managers who will lead these events.
