Rebuild the Community Garden

We are rebuilding the community garden on Oakland Terrace!
Formerly Gilliam's Community Garden (Hunger Has No Color), this site has not been a community garden in many years.
Currently, Community Foodscapes is stewarding the space and is rebuilding it into a true community garden for neighbors on Oakland Terrace and the surrounding streets.

Our first volunteer day (Sunday March 29th, 2026) will be a major cleanup day to get the space prepared for the new garden beds.

Our second volunteer day (April 4th, 2026) will be a raised bed installation day (and possibly an automated drip irrigation system).

Then, we plan to have a "Grand Opening" on April 11th for neighbors and any interested community members. We would love for you to join us at any and all of these events!
