Join us for a morning of gardening at the Piedmont Park Community Garden! This is a shared space for autistic adults, caregivers, and allies to be in community, enjoying gardening together.

We’ll be planting seeds and seedlings in two wheelchair-accessible raised beds. This activity is beginner-friendly.

Accessibility: Fenced garden site with nearby benches.

Restrooms: Accessible public restrooms are a short, paved distance (approx. 3 mins) near the dog parks.

Group size: 5 spots available. To support accessibility and care needs, each RSVP includes space for up to 2 additional guests (family/ care support).

Agenda: Please plan to arrive a few minutes before the start time. Activities will begin promptly at 10:00 am ET. Introductions will take place in the garden.

  • Self-paced planting in raised garden beds

What to wear and bring with you

  • Drinking water
  • Recommended clothing: Please wear closed-toe shoes or boots and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants are recommended.

Tools and gloves will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own garden gloves if you prefer.

Meeting Location:
The garden is located in Piedmont Park between the Meadow and the Dog Parks (see detailed map of parking and walking directions in the "photos" section below). For more information about Piedmont Park, visit their website here.

We will cancel in the event of rain or severe weather (such as lightning). Please check this Meetup page 2 hours before the start time for any updates.
