National Pecan Pie Day. This nut-filled pie originated in the Deep South where it’s served with a generous helping of Southern hospitality. The popularity of pecan pie has spread around the country.
If you like nuts, and you like pie, and you like sweets, then today is your day. Pecan pie is sweet and crunchy. It was first created by French settlers in New Orleans. It’s a southern-style dessert that’s a regular on the dessert menu at most restaurants around the country. And, for good reason. It just plain tastes great.
Ok, I will supply the pecan pie.
The potluck starts at 6 games get going closer to 7. I will provide an entree, you can bring anything you want to share. Please comment in the event what you will bring so folks know what we might need. We ask that you do not bring pork or shellfish.
If the weather cooperates we have outdoor tables and the fire pit.
We ask for a $2 donation at the door, if you prefer PayPal or Zelle to paul@rubin.net.
