April, Spring, Fun, winter is officially over. Plenty of stuff to celebrate.
Tell a Lie Day? Is always celebrated on April 4
Are you an honest person? If you ever need to tell a lie or a little fib, today is the day to do so. It’s Tell a Lie Day, an April 4 holiday. But please, do not make a habit of lying. Liars can’t be trusted. And, it only results in giving you a bad reputation. Being caught in a lie can have disastrous results.
Sounds like a good night for Liars' Dice, Secret Identity Games and more.
The potluck starts at 6 games get going closer to 7. I will provide an entree, you can bring anything you want to share. Please comment in the event what you will bring so folks know what we might need. We ask that you do not bring pork or shellfish.
We ask for a $2 donation at the door, if you prefer PayPal or Zelle to paul@rubin.net.
You know how this works, We get together. Have some great food, meet some new folks, see some old folks and have a good time. Maybe make a new friend. Or sometimes meet your best friend.
And of course we play an assortment of games:
Card Games (Spades, Hearts, Dalmudi, Flux, Gloom)
Party Games (Apples to Apples, Quelf, Dicescapedes)
Chaluthu Games (Last Night on Earth, Arkam Horror)
Word Games (Taboo, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Code Words)
Empire Builders (Ticket to Ride, Alhambra, Carcassonne)
Dice Games (Roll with it, Yatzee, Pirate/Liar's dice, Farkle)
You can see the picture above for many examples.
Lets just get together and have some fun.
See you there.
House Notes:
We provide dishes, silverware, napkins some ice, soft drinks, tea and filtered water.
We have dogs and cats in case you have allergies. Also, kids are welcome. Please don’t count them in your +1, but drop us a note with their info such as name/age range. We have good games for kids down to 3 that are actually fun for the parents also.
Thank you!
