AtlantaPHP April 2014 Meeting

PRESENTATION: Battle of the Stacks

Presentation by Nic Rosental (@nicdev and @EpicLabs)

Description: When you first start as a developer, all you care about is the code. As you progress and become more concerned with performance, you begin to realize that there’s a whole world of possibilities and no clear indication of what works best.

In this presentation, we’ll look at different combinations of web server technologies, caching, PHP versions and a lot more; then pit them against each other in a head to head competition to find out which one is the last stack standing.

About Nic: Nic is the founder of Epic Labs (http://epiclabs.com), a former AtlantaPHP Steering Committee member, and an active member of the Atlanta web community. He’s mainly a web developer, but enjoys exploring and working on everything from UX and design to dev ops.

P.S. This meeting is right after the end of the Great Wide Open conference (http://greatwideopen.org, 50% off with "atlantaphp" promo code), so if you're going to that, stick around for this and miss all the traffic!
