Join Sci4GA and REI with a Scavenger Hunt to the Sea - Day at a Stop!

Join Science for Georgia and REI for this guided hike from East Palisades to the Bamboo Forest.

This hike to the Bamboo Forest will be lead by 2 REI guides and be about 4 miles total, taking about 3.5 hours.

The Palisades section is one of the most scenic stretches of the Chattahoochee River in metro Atlanta. The 3.4 mile trail leads hikers past several high overlooks, the ruins of an old mill and through a bamboo forest.

### About the Scavenger Hunt to the Sea

Water is a basic building block and necessity for all life. It is essential for agricultural, industrial, and household use for basic human health and economic development. Caring for water and water systems is vital to make sure we have enough to use to drink, grow crops, support fishing, support tourism, and mitigate storm and drought damage.
This year's hunt will feature about 10 stops. Some are entirely virtual. All can be completed online. But many stops contain information about how you can visit in-person.

Those that complete all stops, virtually, qualify for a chance to win prizes.

Our sponsor, REI, will be hosting a drawing for a chance to win a $250 REI Co-op Gift Card.
