Please join us to learn the time-honoured practice of zazen in the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition.

Zazen loosely translates to “seated meditation” and this practice has been passed down through centuries from teacher to student to the present day.

Zazen can help you to become one who is calm; brave and happy in thought, speech and conduct.

Each week we give instructions on the practice followed by two 25 minute sessions of zazen, separated by 5 minutes of walking meditation (kinhin). We conclude the evening with a brief discussion.

If you have your own cushion, please bring it along, otherwise a cushion or chair will be provided for you.

Offered free of charge by Atlantic Soto Zen in partnership with the Dalhousie Multifaith Centre and King’s College Chapel.
