AS Movie Club watches Fantastic Four: First Steps

🎬 Welcome to Atlantic Station Movie Club, where we gather on Tuesday nights at Regal Atlantic Station to watch a movie and then chat about it over food and drinks. It's like a book club, but without the pressure of having to read a book ahead of time. We strive for a casual inclusive environment for both cinephile and casual movie goer alike.

📍 We will gather before the movie or social below the Regal Atlantic Station marquee by the entrance to the ticket machines. One of the organizers will have a printed sign so the group should be easy to find. Map

We wait downstairs until the printed movie start time. We then buy tickets and wait lobby until about 15-20 min after the printed movie start time. Going every week we see the same trailers over and over again so you are welcome to talk in the lobby or go sit down.

🏃‍♀️ If you're running late don't stress. Send a message to the meetup chat or the discord so we know you are coming. We will post in the chat our seating location but if you end up sitting somewhere else that is alright too. If we completely miss you before the movie don't worry, come find the big group standing in a circle outside the theater and say hello. After the movie we generally wait for a couple minutes outside the screen for everybody and give initial reactions and take a photo for the meetup.

🥂 Join us for a gathering to discuss the film over drinks and food.
Pre-Movie Social: If the movie is late or has a long runtime we will do a pre movie social. In that case we meet at the theater as normal but walk as a group and meet and eat before the movie. We generally try and grab the picknick tables in front of Naan Stop and let everyone get food from the surrounding restaurants like Publix, Naan Stop, BGR, Salada, Pho 24, ect.

Post Movie Social: Most of the time we meet after the movie. Most Atlantic Station Restaurants close at 9:00PM. For Post-Movie Socials we generally go to Hobnob (Closes at 10:30) or Yardhouse (Closes at 11:00). Both restaurants are <150ft from the theater so we will walk to them as a group. They both serve Americana bar style food. Yardhouse Menu.

In either case It is a great opportunity to talk about the movie and meet some new people. Even if you are not interested in eating a full meal come join us and order something small.

🎟️ We purchase tickets as a before the movie starts. Tuesday is Value Day meaning discounted tickets. To get the discount you need to have a regal account which is free, download the app and sign in and it can be scanned for the discount. We can help some people buy tickets with other regulars accounts if needed. Occasionally tickets are full price on Tuesday if it is a brand new Disney movie. We generally try to notify if it is full price. Ticket prices are shown below:

• Standard: $7.08 (Normally: $17.42)
• RPX: $10:35 (Normally: $20.70)
• IMAX: $13:60 (Normally: $25.03)
• VIP: Always $31.03

💲If you plan on coming regularly you may want to sign up for Regal Unlimited. It costs $21 a month which is about the price of a single full price movie ticket. It requires 3 months of sign up when initially activated but it can be canceled anytime after that. All Standard showings any day of the week are included with that monthly price.

🅿️ Atlantic Station offers free parking for 2 hours + 2 additional hours can be validated. ❗Don't forget to bring your parking ticket to the theater, as it can be validated for an additional 2 hours. Parking by numbers 2, 3 or 7 are the closest to the theater. If you prefer not to park at Atlantic Station, there's free street parking available within a short walking distance along 16th Street and its side streets.

🚈 It is easy to get to Atlantic Station from the Marta by getting off at the Arts Center Station and taking the Atlantic Station Shuttle. It runs every 15 minutes until midnight.
