Don’t miss out on this exciting event! Get your tickets, put on your dancing shoes, and make sure to dress in our signature "Atlassian Blue" attire.
The Atlassian Community Nairobi promotes the effective utilization of Atlassian tools and shares best practices, case studies, and personal insights.
Although the event space is spacious, there’s still limited seating, and we need an accurate headcount to plan and cater accordingly. Therefore, we kindly request that you RSVP only once you’re certain of your attendance. Tickets are Limited: RSVP!
We also incorporate good times when we just party, celebrate our personal achievements, our company achievements, our community growth and get to know each other. This will be one of those times.
This event also includes social and networking activities. Take the opportunity to connect with others and enjoy live mixing from the talented DJ (THEDJMK).
Atlassian community events are where Atlassian users, entrepreneurs, engineers, and business acumen meet to share their experiences on how they use the tools to increase productivity and ship products.
This community has an abundance of Atlassian Experts and customers in the area - let's take advantage of each other's expertise. We meet every other month to talk about all things Atlassian, from JIRA dashboards to perfecting your Stash workflow. If you've got a topic to present or questions you need to be answered, we're here to help. RSVP to our next meeting or join the group to be notified of upcoming events and ACE news.

2:15 PM – 2:45 PM | BitBucket Orchestration at Scale— Presented by John Kamau | Observability Engineer | M-Pesa Africa
This presentation explores how Jenkins and Bitbucket work together to create a powerful, automated CI/CD pipeline for modern software teams. We will cover how Bitbucket’s branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews integrate seamlessly with Jenkins to trigger automated builds, run tests, enforce quality checks, and deploy applications reliably. Attendees will learn practical techniques for setting up pipelines, managing credentials securely, automating releases, and improving developer productivity. Whether you’re new to CI/CD or looking to optimize your current workflow, this session provides actionable insights to streamline development and deliver faster, more stable software.
2:50 PM – 3:40 PM || DevOps in 2025— Presented by Joseph Njogu | Chief Technology Officer | Optimal Operational Interface(OOI)
In 2025, we witnessed significant disruptions in the cloud industry, with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Cloudflare experiencing outages that severely impacted critical operations and major SaaS platforms. This caused immense challenges for DevOps, SREs, and Platform engineers, who were tasked with ensuring the uninterrupted operation of their companies’ SaaS applications. In this session, we delve into strategies to mitigate these cloud-related issues. We will explore the implementation of cloud-agnostic Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices that can be seamlessly deployed to alternative cloud providers in case of a disruption. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of utilizing status pages and tools like Opsgenie to keep our technical teams and customers informed and updated at all times.
3:45 PM – 4:20 PM | Panel Discussion Collaboration in the Age of Atlassian Intelligence— Moderated by Michael KimathiA focused exploration of how AI-enhanced workflows are reshaping teamwork, decision-making, and delivery across modern engineering organizations. The discussion examines how Atlassian Intelligence alters coordination patterns, reduces operational friction, and elevates the quality of cross-functional collaboration. Panelists assess emerging practices, governance considerations, and the evolving role of human judgment in AI-supported environments, outlining pragmatic approaches for leaders seeking to build resilient, high-leverage teams in an increasingly intelligent toolchain.
